| 1stDesign IntelliRaid FC-XPRS for PCs or Macs is a high-availability, cost-effective 3U 4Gb Fibre Channel (FC) to SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) or SATA2 RAID System, which provides 16 x 3.5” hard disk carriers to support various types of hard disks, including 3Gb SAS hard disks, and 1.5Gb/3Gb SATA2 hard disks. Pricing starts at $16,995.
High Performance: The IntelliRaid FC-XPRS System provides total 4 x 4Gb FC ports, up to 1.6 GB/s data throughput for front end connection and two SAS wide ports, up to 2.4 GB/s data throughput for back end connection. Active-Active Dual Controller Architecture also ensures the system’s high performance.
High Reliability: Redundant RAID Control Modules, Power Supplies and Cooling Modules design secures “No Single Point Failure”. Active-Active Dual Controller Architecture, Hot Swappable Hard Disk, and Dual SAS Path and SATA2 Path with Interposer Card provide the IntelliRaid FC-XPRS System’s high reliability to achieve 24 x 7 Availability.
High Scalability: Each IntelliRaid FC-XPRS System supports up to 16 SAS or SATA2 hard disks, provides 2.40 TB storage capacity with SAS hard disks or 12 TB storage capacity with SATA2 hard disks. Daisy chaining with additional JBODs can support up to 64 hard disks, provides 9.4 TB storage capacity with SAS hard disks or 48 TB storage capacity with SATAII hard disks. Additional JBODs do not require additional Fibre Channel connections. In addition, it may be configured with a single controller and scale up to two.
High Flexibility: The IntelliRaid FC-XPRS System supports both SAS and SATAII hard disks according to customer’s needs. This feature provides the most cost-effective storage pools for different kinds of data and provides a better management for the ILM (Information Life Cycle Management) applications. |
